It was mentioned briefly in the Macro Thread about "Combine Z5" this is an image stacking program used to stack several images together to achieve greater DOF.
Due to having quite a bit of spare time on my hands today, I decided to create and upload a "Stacked" image. This image is actually 5 images of varying focus then "stacked" using the aforementioned software, which incidently is freeware. I used my Canon 10D + Canon 100mm macro lens set on a tripod, with a lens to subject distance of 38cm. Camera setting where 1/10 @ f/10 and used onboard flash. The flower is approx 6.5cm dia. I selected f/10 so as to give a shallow DOF, mainly to emphasise how efficient Combine Z5 is at giving increased DOF. I have only attached Images 1 of 5 and 5 of 5 + of course the finshed stacked image. The other 3 images are available for upload if required. Harry |

Thanks for the reminder about the program I downloaded it ages ago and forgot all about it. I will have to have a go at using it.

Very interesting - never heard of this procedure before but it looks pretty good to me.
