I just completed three images - ALL AUTOMATIC processed in ELEMENTS #2 and have 2 with slight colourl cast and one without.

All images were from the same ORIGINAL image. I made a 300 dpi work file at 12 X 8 on TIF. Next I went to ENHANCE - ADJU;ST BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST - LEVELS - clicked AUTO and OK Next I went to FILTER - SHARPEN For #1 I used SHARPEN EDGE #2 i used USM at 100%, 4, 7 #3 I usd SHARPEN I find it interesting that 2 of 3 have that s slight cast and the other one is clear. Other than SHARPEN, which may be main setting, are the other settings digitally enhanced? Norm D

I clicked on the wrong image for #3 in the first thread. Here is the correct #3 and it shows the difference in tones.

My choice is #1 as it does have the least amount of glare on the shiny side of the white bag. Norm D

Auto adjustments dont alwas prove effective. try some manual "to your taste" adjustments.

For this exercise, I was just trying to keep eveything EQUAL to see how each setting came out - not worrying about fine tuning the correcions until I found one I liked.

Over time, I will try manual settings to see the difference. Norm D
