I knew photographers using 150mm Symmar lens on 4/5 camera (but for 6/7 format) and happy to cover most of their assignments.

Rudra,
I sold all the Bronica kit before its value collapsed ![]() I reckon used I could buy a body & 80mm now for what I originally paid for a film magazine. ![]() For work I was still able to use the firms Sinar 5x4 so it was not missed there. Don |

when I got rid of my medium format, tho the smaller ETRS system, I had just about made it worth posting it....the S/H market dropped through the floor about 3 milliseconds after most people caught a wiff of decent digital cameras becoming available.
My very first experience of digital was the Nikon F3 with a gigantic digital 'back' on it. equivalent to about 1.3 mp, you could've used an egg timer to find out how quick each picture was processed (that slow), and we couldn't take more than a few pictures without downloading them to a computer. Ho hum....

Sony rep' was in yesterday with some more pre-launch info'.....
What an amazing camera line up!!! He also brought with him the A700, and a pre launch A350, teamed up with a couple of lenses including an 18-250mm and some rather smart f2.8 'contax' optics LOL...both massive improvements over the first Alpha, the A350 being the logical upgrade. Most of my queries, and apprehensions about the original Sony kit have been pretty much answered. A few short comings experienced including the buffers that could be larger and perhaps nice if one of the models was a little bit smaller (tho, having big hands I love the feel of the Sony's...dare I say, more than most Canons and some Nikon's). The designs in my view being some of the best. The cameras have good 'shoulders' Sony do look like they are serious about challenging others in the DSLR market The only major thing, which I pointed out to rep. "They would be simply the best if they had Canon EF mounts"........ That didn't go down too well! ![]()
