Yes, that is indeed the Queen. She's amazing! She doesn't look 80 and she seems to have the energy of someone much younger too.

Lord Snowdon (formerly Anthony Armstrong-Jones) was previously married to Princess Margaret, the Queen's younger sister.

I'm not keen on the picture. I agree with others that light is too harsh, and the expression seems forced and decidedly odd.

As an aside, I find all of this Royal birthday business smacks of toadying and/or furlock tugging. I thought the Middle Ages ended some time ago, and status is based on merit and hard work, and not birth and patronage.

Is that an egg I see flying in my direction? Where is John Prescott when you need him.
