Mike, you can still get these, look on 7 day shop for them, popularly known as a peanut. Trouble is, you need to be able to turn off the metering pre-flash on your built in pop up flash to get them to trigger at the right point. Most dSLR use a form of pre-flash for metering the amount of flash power that will be needed during the exposure. It is usually not possible to switch off this pre-flash (which triggers the peanut before the exposure) on most dSLR.

It's not really all that big a deal I was just miffed incase i had broken it lol, I wanted to use two speedlites as guns for the flash effect in a video.....
