Default Which compact camera is the better?

Hey guys! Im new to the world of cameras and so i thought i should seek some advice!

Im looking at purchasing a compact digital camera, with a wide-ish lense and a good zoom etc.

I have been considering the following 3 models and didnt know which is the better of them? Or if there are any others i should be considering also. Looking to spend £200-£250 and dont want an SLR as they are a little too blucky for what i want. The models are;

Panasonic DMC-FX550, Sony Cybershot DSC-WX1 and the Canon IXUS 120 IS

What are peoples experiances/opinions on these cameras or suggestions on similar/better ones. Thanks for any replies!

Chay!

Hi mate welcome to the forum.

I expect all those cameras you have stated are all good compacts. What id do is read all the reveiws you can find on them and base you decision on those.

My girlfriend does have the pani lumix, or one very like it. I have used it alot and think its a great little camera, very small and compact. has a good wide angle lens and comes with loads of preset modes. i see that model is newer so probably includes more tech than hers.

good luck with your choice.

Read the "sticky" at the top of this sub-forum. It's geared up towards dSLR, but equally applicable to compacts. The best camera is the one YOU get on with, not the one someone else gets on with.
