Havent had much of a chance to get on any forum lately with moving etc.

I recently brought a Gigapan Epic Pro and finally managed to get out and about yesterday.

Here are my first attempts.
1) 30 photo stitch
2) Cant remember exactly (d'oh) how many stitches. I had to cut this one short as when I started taking the 200 odd images it was sunset, halfway through the process it got really dark and I had to climb out and do some 4wd driving to get back onto the road. So its not a complete picture but it shows that as you transverse across the screen things get darker.
3) 44 photo stitch

The first 2 are then HDR'd

thanks

That is so cool. This really is so clever and the pictures are lovely. I love the desert picture and its colours and the harbour one with the light against the dark is beautiful. These are fantastic pictures and very cool because of how they are done!!!

Your Gigapan Epic Pro produces some interesting photos. Personal taste like the Port one most. Looked up the Gigapan Epic Pro on internet looks like a fun bit of kit. Out of my price range, oh well ever mind. Nice to see your photos, thanks for posting.

thanks guys, its a lot of fun to play around. When I first started looking at a system that would help with different results and basically allow me to shoot 360 I looked at mirrored lenses and everything. SOrt of figured that the Gigapan gave me the most option. I dont think I will ever use it to the capability of what they have on their site, but must admit, the workflow is fantastic for stitched images and because there is so much overlapping (35%) cs5 hardly breaks out in a sweat processing it. Lots of fun.
