I don't use NX much in the summer as I am out shooting but now the darkness has arrived I am beginning to use the application more and more.

Versions prior to 1.2 managed memory in a poor manner where 10+ photos were editted the computer would begin to run out of physical memory (PC and Mac). In a Mac is shows as a high proportion 'inactive' memory which can be cleared without reboot.

V1.2 does not have the same issue. I can comfortably use both NX and Photoshop with 1GB free memory all day editting 20+ pics.

Contrary to my experience then Foxy. V1.2 drove me nuts and I reverted to V1.1 and I am quite happy.
There again I only process one at a time. Brain still in the 90's. Take 80 pics in a day and I think I've gone mad.

That many!!

When I get to 36 pictures taken I shall have to remember not to try prising open the back of the camera!

average airshow, 200

Simply opening and viewing used to occupy unreleased memory. I could maybe do 20 without freeing memory if I was not running photoshop concurrently.
