I went searching through my older Original Images and found this one.

What I tried to do is - use the art reproductions and my grey card instruction sheet images for examples of how bright to make the image and try to keep texture in throughout. Having a small amount of sun area and large amount of darker tones, it was hard to keep texture in all areas and to show detail in the darkest areas.

Working very slow, I think the reproductions and grey card illustration sheet helped this one very well.

While at our local waterfront this morning, I took the ship COS KNIGHT through the workings of some of our local tugs.

The white ship at the rear of the freighter is an Alaska Cruise ship docked in Vancouver. Rain was drizzling down when I did tlhis one.

I worked it on the P C using brightness suggestions from art reproductions and illustrations on my Grey Card instruction sheets.

Anne candid image I did using the same techniques as above
