That is a very important point I feel.

I like your idea too Trena, it does mean more work for the Mods though.

agree with Lee,it does help lift your spirits.... I am wondering if the Mods don't have the time, maybe we could elect a couple of extra people to help out,who have the time to take over the POTW and competitions to try to create some more interest..a lot of people are going to Flickr & other sites to get what they need with their photography & for competitions...I hope we can sort something out here soon , this is where we have made some great friends, it is a nice little community. ....what are your thoughts????

If the right people with the time and the expertise could be found sounds like a good idea, to have them take over running the competitions. As for monthly and yearly, why not.
Agree is a nice little community. Hope it stays that way but has enough to keep people wanting to be a part of it.

I would love to see the photo of the week return.....if its too much work for the mods to do, taking on extra hands just to deal with "POTW" i think there would be a few people that were willing to step forward to help out. Id love to do it, but dont think im qualified for one and unfortunately dont have the time, what with two jobs.

Right I have been giving this some more thought and think I may have come up with a hopefully fairer way of doing the POTW... just working out the details but I will be posting about it in the next couple of days and we will be having POTW again by the end of the month.

I've posted details for a new (hopefully more workable and fair) system for POTW in a new thread - http://www.worldphotographyforum.com...ead.php?t=7229 hopefully it will meet with approval and lots of members will get involved.
