Default POTW ending Sun 24th Jan

A few images caught my eye this week, Dave's Barrel racing i thought was very good showing speed & movement, (the background cars annoyed me tho - very difficult to avioid) Donalds Kingfisher caught my eye as well for being sharp & nice OOF background but My choice for picture of the week goes to Nigel for Swannage new pier. I really liked the symmetry, the soft colours & thought the guy at the end of the pier added scale & interest as does the boat on the right hand side. I love it as it is & I'm sure it looks even better on a monitor, if it was mine I'd try a couple of things, I'd like to have a look at a narrower (letterbox) crop? De-saturate the floorboards a little 10-15% and then select just the pier and increase the contrast just on the pier maybe 20%.

Cracking shot, thanks for posting.

Great photo. I wish we had stuff like that rather than the concrete jungle of Las Vegas.
