Default Sigma 28-300 DG Macro

I purchased the Sigma 28-300 mm f3.5-6.3 DG macro lens prior to the Christmas festivities needless I have not had the opportunity to give it a test run and the weather here in Norfolk is unbelievably dull ( and cold) at the moment.

Could any one help me in the forum as to whether there has been a Test Reports on this lens in any of the Photo Magazines during the last couple of months . I only subscribe to Photography Monthly and have seen no test reports in their mag as yet .

Thanks

Dave

I have one of these lenses in the EOS fitting, I bought it at the same time I purchased a 350d. I bought the lens to use for shooting wildlife and for everyday usage. I agree with most of the reviews on fredmiranda.com, stopped down it's OK, but this time of year finding enough light to do this is very difficult.

On the plus side it is very compact, in the right conditions and with the right settings I've taken a few nice pictures.
