In your case I would go for a 4GB card - At Jessops a Sandisk 4GB Extreme IV Compactflash Memory Card is £33.20 This will give you about 400 shots in largest JPEG, over 1000 in smallest JPEG and about 150 in RAW. Please do buy from a reputable dealer. You can get them cheaper on ebay but there are numerous stories of fake cards that are not worth the money you think you save. By the way the speed of you card would only effect wildlife if you were in burst mode trying to track a cheetah
Don't know were you got these figures from Andy, but I've got a 1d2n which is 8mp, and that will take 500 RAW on a 4GB card.

Hi Kwanon, I was just quoting what my D3 will put on a 4GB card in RAW + largest JPEG, optimum quality and no compression. I get just short of 600 with my 16GB's.

You don't need anything special for the 10D. I use Kingston 40x. A 4gb card will cost you a little under £15 at http://www.picstop.co.uk/memory-card...nufacturer=192
