Default K10D + Hahnel HL-150 Battery

Recently got the battery grip for the K10, Didn't come with a battery so put the one from the camera in. Is exellent but looking for longer between charges, so would the Hahnel HL-150 be OK?(£20 is better than £50) Has anyone used one? I've heard stories of aftermarket batteries messing up cameras.
Thanks
Steve

Steve,

I have an unbranded pattern item from 7dayshop.com, link here:
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/prod...ducts_id=99219
It doesn't give quite the same life as the Pentax OEM item, but for £6.99 I can live with about 75-80% of the genuine item's capability.

The K10D uses the same battery as that used in the Minolta 5D and 7D, so a bit of searching for minolta NP-400 may turn up more results than you've already found.

I have no experience of the Hanhnel item, but I've used Hahnel rechargeable AA-batteries before and found them to be very good. It depends if you want to speculate £7 for the unbranded or not. It works fine for me.

Regards,

Duncan

Smile A Battery of batteries

Many thanks Duncan, I've ordered 2..... at that price 2 of them plus postage is still cheaper than 1 Hahnel!

Duncan,
Last week I went to York with My girlfriend for 4 days, and used the two unmarked Bateries. Took over 200 shots, and the camera was switched on for far longer than normal with both of us gawping at the back of the camera. I have no problems to report whatsoever..... seven quid each? A Bargain!!!

Glad you're pleased with them Steve, I get about 600 shots out of the pattern item, but that's with minimal chimping and not whizzing about with the AF too much. If I'm out and about, I don't ever switch the camera off, I'll just leave it to go into standby if it's unused for several minutes.

Let's see your pictures in the gallery then.

D.
