Default Canon 40D

Amazon prematurely posted the specs of the new 40D. This has now been removed from their site.
However someone copied them, these can be viewed on dpreview http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=24427027

Erm...I thought I created this thread? Where did the earlier posts appear from? Maybe I have just gone mad?

No Mark,

You haven't gone mad, I just moved wolfie's post from the general photography section where he had made the same comments, then noticed you had an identical post, so I merged the threads. Probably not a sensible edit with hindsight.

Sorry for the confusion.

Excellent news!
BUT....I can't help but think is would be nice if more digital cameras had optional protective clip on LCD covers (or twist screen as with some Powershot's), particularly as the size of the screens are increasing....oh how vunerable that 40D screen looks.
I best get the extended warranty booklets out ready! LOL

Rob - this is a bit late but I've just seen your link to Bob Atkins' site and my Canon DSLR model sequence follows his exactly. I dithered about the 5D but when I saw the spec for the 40D that decided me! I joined the queue at Park Cameras as soon as they started taking orders.
