Thumbs up Need a lens for that special occasion?

I have just been on a dance holiday to Spain, and to take good dancing photos a compact, no matter how good, just isn't fast enough so that meant taking my dSLR. Much as I love my 10-22 & 24-105 I just didn't want to carry the weight. I thought about buying an 18-55 but felt it might not be wide enough at the short end or long enough at the long end. The newish 15-85 gets great reviews but £580 for a holiday lens ... then somebody suggested hiring one.

So I went to lensesforhire.co.uk £39 + p&p for the week ... and that really is a week - the lens is delivered the day before you need it, and you send it back the day after you need it. Their service was spot on, I needed to change the deliver address at short notice - no problem at all. Lens arrived on time, well packed, good condition, with instruction and full return packaging including address label. This company is a joy to deal with and their prices are very competitive as well

Strongly recommended

I was reading about this company on another forum, was well recommended. I doubt though that I will ever hire the Canon EF 1200mm f/5.6 L USM, especially at the price quoted.

£3,450.00

Thanks for the link Clive. It is something I hadn't considered - I have every intention of going on an 'enthusiasts' day course some time soon and this may be just the answer to going properly equipped.
