Dunno about your harry but my dragonfly was 8ft away using a 420mm zoom.

That was my point. We know from the exif that your dragon was a "close-up", but the bee exif just shows a 100mm focal length. Actually it was pretty close to being a "True" macro, but when hand holding, especially in very windy conditions (as was the bee photo) at very close quarters, it's extremely difficult to know.
