Canon have lost the plot.

Pricing the 60D at just £30 less than the 7D is just plain crazy. Unless the 60D is heavily discounted I see no future for this model.

Cameras always come out with a very high initial price and then drop, this one will have to drop very quickly down to 50D prices. If anybody wants one just wait a wee while.

If it drops to arround the 50d mark it will be another cracker buy canon and make the 550a very interesting budget buy. ive used a 550 recently and its a fanstatic camera the metering, sensor and screen knocks spots off the 50d. so if the 60 falls arround the 750-900 bracket it would be a sound investment in my opinion.

Shame it's got a plastic and smaller body. Seems to be a step in the xxxD direction.

Oh didnt see that well that changes things then makes this camera pretty pointless really apart from the faster shooting and tilt screen, Yes i agree big shame well looks like 7d is the new semi pro, the 60d is the new xxx series and the 550 is the new xxxx range which they must be scrapping.
