Although this is a simple example, I used the technique for this picture for the ' nostalgia ' thread.

I wanted to illustrate the pistol grip attached to a camera and wanted a better than plain background to suit the thread subject.

The join between the pistol grip and tripod head had to be cleaned up at 600 magnification dealing with individual pixels to give it the sharp edge. Cloning straight lines on the diagonal takes a bit of time to get it right. Despite the nice sky it started to spit with rain when I took this so there was also bit of tidying up to be done, rain drops on the prism top and lens.
