Is there a thread where we can discuss the images once the voting closes?

Not as such unless I have missed it. I would use this thread after voting if you want to discuss the images.

Is there a reason why the entries are not discussed here after voting closes? Do you not think its a good idea? There seems little interaction between the contestants and was wondering why. Hope Im not speaking out of turn and don't want to upset the apple cart, me still being fairly new. Just thought if there was more interaction and discussion it may attract more entrants, as I have experienced in other forums.

thanks everyone

I have now started the next one up, I was going to go with the theme and choose earth but it seemed a bit tricky so have gone slightly sideways and the new theme is "Rock". http://www.worldphotographyforum.com...ead.php?t=7558

I think it is fine for any discussion about the photos in this comp to be discussed in the thread after voting is finished. It seems to be the sensible place as it is where all the photos are.

OK, I will say a few things if thats ok. If anyone else wants to follow suit, feel free.

I liked the winning shot, it was my favourite. I liked the 'fire in the sky' approach and the exposure on this was very good. No clipped highlights. I had thought of trying this but I'm too lazy to get up for sunrise (awaiting a later time of year) and I feels quite vulnerable being out on my own when its dusk with my camera equipment, which is a shame. Hubby hates photography and doesn't like the waiting about when I ask him to come along.

I also liked Arthurs unusual take on the theme. All in all, a good quality of entries, just wish there was more entrants.

Thanks DigiDiva. Agree the winner was a good photo but I voted for yours. Like the thinking of two kinds of hot.
Photographing alone. Do you have a photo club you could join or any way to meet others who are happy to go with you?

Photoclubs...I have thought of this but hear my local one is a bit 'stuffy' and the next nearest one is a Friday, my drinking night!!!!

I have been out with other people, one who I met through another forum and one who I met at college, but it didn't really work out.
