Well done Gidders. An unusual twist from the expected. A nice, clean image I liked. My up comment is for Tangatas 'Leaves and Fishes'. I liked the composition of this but think it may have popped out more if the saturation was boosted a little. However, a lovely entry. My down comment is for Gidders 'Take a Leaf Out of My Book'. Great lighting, lovely composition and a deserved winner. My entry was appalling but it was a last minute desperate attempt. Look at my entry this week for another competition - if only this had been last weekend.....

Well done Clive a worthy shot - and now for my upsy-downsy. Peter's Celeriac, cabbage and vine is a choice collection of leaves, celeriac is a beautiful leaf in its own right. It looks as though the sun was very strong for the shot and has blasted the right hand side more than ideally. Other than that a good composition and it was somebody's favourite!

Arthur's leaf lost a little by being a superimposition where the edges of the leaf are hazed a different hue/intensity from either the background or the leaf. On the plus side, it is bang on subject and of cracking clarity and focus.

Ah! the ups and downs of life. Here my up is up and so is my down. Slow shutter and deep depth in Graham's shot give a lovely mystic feel to this scene, flow of the water just right to reveal the detail below. The cat in rob's pic. vibrates with happy tension she looks so alert and involved. Tight focus on the eyes makes this a terrific shot.
Either could have been a winner!

I think my up is Clive's leaf out of a book, which I can see why it won,I love things out of the square, great shot Clive,I would have voted for it but I missed voting as I had our grandchildren staying over and completely forgot to vote for the first time ever.(apart from when I am away on holiday)

my down was cobweb hat ,by John...very nice DoF and focus on the leaves, nice shot.
