Default Fujifilm Finepix S5200

Hi all, Is there anything I can buy to improve the macro on my Fujifilm Finepix S5200?

Thanks very much,

Rob

I would think that you 10D and Sigma 105 macro would be a good place to start! I have a Sigma 105 and in my opinion it's as good a macro as you can get.

I work on a few nature reserves and I don't take out my slr with me just incase it gets wet etc but i've always go my compact on me and it would be nice to have a camera that can take fairly good macro shots and has got a good zoom on it.

I'd agree with Peter, use what you have. If you simply must buy some gear to improve things then a plastic bag to reduce the risk of your 10D getting wet may help.

I wouldn't worry too much about the rain, it will have to get very wet before there's a serious risk of stuff stopping working. Just keep it in a bag/case when you're not using it and only take it out when needed.

There are a lot of compact digital cameras around with very good macros, which is best for you will depend on other factors - do you want a small camera or a bridge? What's your budget?

The FinePix S5200 is equipped with a built-in pop-up flash that opens automatically. The flash does not open when the flash mode is set to Forced Off, or when the camera is set to Auto and it is not required.
