Anyone with a photo taken with this lens
I have just seen this second hand Canon lens advertised at
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...C=557508&Q=&O= Before I buy does anyone have an image taken with this lens that they can upload, I'm particularly interested in whether it can be hand held and is it suitable for photographing birds in flight. Harry |

Weighing in at over 36lbs and an overall length of 33 inches, a sturdy tripod and pan/tilt head is highly recommended. Pack mule not included.
Are you sure

Harry, my husband bought one of these a few months ago. the pictures are so sharp they jump out at you, he handheld the lens not the camera for doing any flight shots, birds in flight and jet aircrafts.
His doctor can't understand why he has such a hernia and a twisted spine from just taking photos with a camera. So he now has me holding the lens and he just shouts left! left! left! right a bit! up a tad and move faster. His back is fine now but my arm aches and I have gone deaf from all the shouting. Easy to use but needs IS.

Harry,
I have used a couple of copies but unfortunately I no longer have any of the photos. It looks a little too cheap, could it be a scam?

Hi Wolfie, one of my parishioners runs a mobile crane company - he is available if you need a lift!!! But seriously - pBase splits itself into examples by camera and lens this link http://www.pbase.com/cameras/canon/ef_1200_56u will take you to their page of examples taken with this lens.

sorry, no photos, but I heard of someone taking shots in UK of Robins migrating back to Germany. However, due to curvature of the earth playing a factor, getting the shots of the birds landing back down in Germany was a problem!
seriuosly tho........are you serious?!

I think Christine's husband has got the right idea, but a slight problem for me as my wife refuses to accompany me on photo shoots.
Christine are you available |

Hand held for birds in flight? With a few degrees of field of view! Surely joking.
Might work with a gimbal head. Have a chat with a veteran of WWll who was on bofors duty when the Kamikazis were attacking. |

$ 99,000.00 - strewth! I'd expect it to be gold plated and encrusted with jewels for that price. And that's the second hand price...
