Here is one of I am sure many links on the subject.

After a speed read it does not seem much difference between D2X.

Agree Stephen, seems to be mainly in HSC mode. Doubt that will have huge impact on prices of remaining stocks.

I don't see a firmare upgrade for the X. Which of the improvements would you benefit from ? If I had already got one the only thing might be is the increased viewing angle of the LCD and that is hardware. The real beneficiaries certainly appear to be users of High Speed Crop.

Just done a price check with B&H to compare Rob Galbraiths estimated selling price and its about $200 more. Memories of the D1X.

It will now be interesting to see if Photokina brings a D2Hs replacement that incorporates the non HSC elements of the upgrade.

That new battery looks nice though... works on current charger and d2x. Otherwise, much ado about nothing, although undoubtably it's a better product as a result of the tweaks.

I'm not confidant of a firmware upgrade doing much.

I would like to benefit from improved autofocus and tracking, not that there is anything wrong with current performance, it would be nice to be utilizing the latest tracking algorithms.
