Well I'm going for Buccaneer's shot of the Suzuki 1000. Anyone who has ever tried this will know how difficult it is to do well and this image is simply superb.

This is one of the reason's I don't think the shot of the week works. This shot would not even raise an eyebrow with most people because they have no idea just how good it is technically.

Derek,I agree, have seen the shot, technically, spot on.These bikes are moving at up tp 200 mls per hr,so to take a shot of this calibre is superb.

You're right Derek. There is a guy in our camera club who does this sort of thing and you forget how difficult it is to get the bike sharp and the blur in the background to give the impression of speed.

Christine, Derek and Clive (ah, Pete & Dud for those old enough to recall the act) - - - - you are all right in mentioning the huge degree of difficulty in taking images like this motorcycle ....but, I really wouldn't want the group's possible lack of all-round photographic skill and knowledge to stop us all from having what is, I believe, a bit of fun which highlights some photographer's work and may bring to us an image which, up to then, we may have overlooked as the gallery fills up throughout the week.

Just my 6-penn'orth . .. (ah, tanners, eh?) . . . .

OK the reminiscence class is now closed :-)
Cheers,
jiffers
