inappropriate beep flash 580EX
I have just bought a new Speedlite 580EX for my 5D. But, What a surprise when I listened a very low beep beep from my flash while it’s in standby. Anybody knows how turn it off? I think that the birds won’t like my flash beep beep. Any tips would be most welcome!

Firstly welcome to WPF.
Is this beep similar in pitch to the squeal heard whilst the flash capacitor is charging? If so its slight and periodic discharge of the capacitor and I am sure is perfectly normal. I heard this on my Nikon flash units.
