Default D50 & Portfolio

Hi

Having just moved to a D50 and shooting in RAW I have a problem viewing the Raw imanges in Portfolio, I have downloded the relevant Raw patch but the files still refuse to display properly.

No problems in Bridge or the Nikon software.

Please help as I would like to continue to use Portfolio.

Chris

Firstly Welcome to WPF.

When I began to shoot RAW on my Nikon I was amazed when windows automatically read and displayed thumbnails, assuming this is the issue. Windows is upto date and I have Nikon capture installed.

Have you Nikon Capture installed? It is available as a free trial download but is soon going to be upgraded to Capture NX.

Thanks fo the welcome, already spotted loads of interseting stuff on the forums.

I have installed Capture but have not been usinig it as I have Raw Shooter Premium which I use for processing and conversion. However, I would like to be able to view and store the Raw files in portfolio as well as the tiffs, and view. But for some reason the files are pixalated and unrecognisable.

The raw filter files were installiing in the incorrect folder, once I had worked that out Ijust needed to regenerate the thumbnails.
