Thumbs up Va Waa What?360 Video Camera?

This is AMAZING!
Cutting edge video new capture technology.
Google and GoPro dive into virtual-reality videos with Jump.

You have heard it, you have done it, you have seen it in still world on many sites such as 360 and nothing new. 360 Panorama, virtual reality still pictures. My Nikon Coolpix 995 from early 2000s could do it with attached fisheye lens.

But now this is viral. 360 videography camera...
And nothing new again except the ingenuity of the guys that put up the foundation and thanks to Google (As always for anything new in this age) and yes you can do it out of scratch, right now with any camera you own. The catch? you need to own at least 16 of those cameras.
You must see to believe it.
These guys did it with GoPro cameras and here is a few must see links:
1- Link to idea

2- Link to description by Cnet.

3- A sample you can see right now.

For best viewing and result, you need to have a usual android/google smart phone with latest version of YouTube free app, installed or similarly an android tablet (I am not an iphone user currenty (A very glade converter from iphone5, and will never look back to iphone), so don't ask me if it works on IOS or not. I don't know. I would guess with trend of relation between Google and iphone, probably not but surly iphone will bring out something similar very soon. Anyhow back to subject, if you don't have an smart phone, you may want to see a partial effect on your current PC, but again your ie Browser will not support it. But if you have Google's Chrome, that is all you need and if not, you can have a free download of Chrome right now and then watch the link #3.
On left upper corner of screen, when running the 360 video link, you will find the cursors to move in 360 degree plans, a close resemblance to your smarter tablets or phone.

Have a lot of fun and aren't you gland to live in today's world?

Precisely Graham. "Being right in the action". I guess this is the second best alternative to that.
And just imaging it when you have a virtual reality goggle worn. BTW Google is making some version of these 3D goggles out of your android phone, a simple app and cardboard goggle frame!
