Hi Ken,

You can find advice on digiscoping adaptors on the web site of Andy, the WPF admin. It's found here:
http://www.digiscoped.com/Adapters.html
You can find advice on Opticron's own web site here:
http://opticron.boson.posiweb.net/pages/page31.html

You'll find a huge amount of digiscoping advice on WPF's sister site Bird Forum
www.birdforum.net
(it's probably the best place to search first). Do a search in the digiscoping sub-forums on birdforum for S7000 and see what it comes up with.

I made my own adaptor, it was cheaper than buying a 'generic' manufactured item. Take your scope and camera along to a local engineering shop (look in yellow pages) and have a chat with them about an adaptor.

Have you tried digiscoping with this combination without using an adaptor first, i.e. hand holding them together and taking a picture of a static object? You may find that this shows that your combo doesn't work. I very strongly suggest you try hand-held digiscoping before spending a single penny on an adaptor.

Regards,

Duncan.

Hi Ken, sorry to bring bad news but the Fuji S700O simply isn't a digiscoping-friendly camera... down to lens design. Using a specialised low magnification/ long eye-relief digiscoping eyepiece may help fractionally, but you really are fighting against the tide trying to digiscope with this camera.

cheers,
Andy
