Default A good day out

For those of us who like to photograph birds and for a good photo oportunity with some fast paced action, try a visit to Gigrin farm in mid wales (UK)which is a Red Kite feeding station. My wife and I went at the weekend not expecting much but saw a hundred or so of these magnificent birds swooping and diving to pick up food and mobbing other birds such as crows and buzzards. well worth the £3 entrance. Took hundreds of pictures - just need to sort them out. Attached is a couple for you to look at.

The second shot looks like it could be a belter. Have you done much post-processing to it yet? It looks like there is a lot more in the image to bring out.

Two great photos Dan, you have done a good job on both of them. I went there a couple of years ago, its an amazing experience, out of all the photos I took there was only a handful that were usable, they are just so fast.

Jpeg. I do shoot in raw but wanted the extra capacity on my card so I could take more in the hope of getting some decent shots as the birds are very quick,

Haven't been for over a year.
Had my camera for 7 months.
Would love to go back to have a good go at some 'action/flight' shots like these.
Will try and talk my better-half into going this weekend.
Thanks for re-kindleling the urge to go....weather permitting.
