They need to learn when to cut their losses, if a particular shop is consistently not doing very well then they should close it and use the resources saved to make sure the shops that are doing well continue to do so. Some cities have more than one shop, why, there are only so many customers they can serve. If mail order is doing so well for other companies, then that's probably an outlet that Jessops should pay more attention to, if they can't compete they can only lose.

You can still haggle quite aggressively in Jessops as well...

I've bought a good couple of bits and bobs in there and haven't once paid full price, they know the prices are available on line and will do what they can to keep business in the store.

I'ld rather pay a little bit more and have a face to talk to if any problems occur than from a website with no comeback...

I'll go with word of mouth here. Google will only throw some names and that's not enough for me. Members experiences have better value in this case. They can suggest some names and I can tell my person to pick it up.

Hi Rudra,

Long long time since I was in London but this is a link to Calumet who are pro dealers so no junk.
http://www.calumetphoto.com/ctl?ac.u...o.CompStoreLoc

Scroll down the page to find UK stores. Click on a London branch and a new window will open giving phone/fax numbers so you can check if they stock it also a map and full address for directions for whoever may pick the item up.
