Default Walking along the river bank

Walking along the river bank when this cormarant came up from the depths. I was very startled but managed to fire off one shot. Unfortunately I was a little too close with the 100-400, but I think I'll keep it.

Jolly good effort, reflexes not quite gone yet then? I would keep it too.

It's actually not a bad shot considering your stress level at the time. Funny how things just happen out of the blue and make the heart stop for a second.

Seeing it was shot at 400mm I can see why you were startled I too would also keep it.
