Default John Shaw - Nature Photography Field Guide

First edition in 1984 (I was 11 and not thinking one moment about photography) so written in the pre-digital era.

I got this in 2004 but what an inspiration! This covers all the basics of (nature) photography and more. While reading, I wanted to get out and try and while trying, I wanted to get back in and read more!

Danny

His Close Ups In Nature book is also very good. Basically anything by him is worth buying. The only problem is that they are old so do not address digital issues. Leif

I too have read a few titles from John Shaw, and he is an author I would recomend to all. Skill at photography, writing, and his understanding of the subjects are second to none.

I have only one book by him:-"Landscape Photography",Very interesting book and Images are excellent. It covers allmost the all the basicand advance part of photography.Beside this I would also like to recommend one more book:-"Creative Exposure Control By Les Meehan".As the name suggest, the whole book deals in only on exposure , one chapter, then recommended practice shot, very nicely written and some simple picure just to illustrate the point.
