copyright symbol in photoshop

I use Ulead Photo Express 4.0. and going into text press alt 0169 up comes © as it does here, hope this helps

Christine, just increase the brush size, hardness and opacity. Not forgetting a suitable colour.

As Nigel, I've just tried it out in Elements 2. Had to install it first, but works, no problem.

But should one not have the text set to a certain size?.

Christine, you can adjust the brush size.

1. Create new canvas approx 300 x 300 pixels
2. Input copyright symbol and suitable text, using a font size of approx 14 points
3. Select the paintbrush tool, then "Edit" in the dropdown box select "Define Brush" Input suitable name for the brush. Click Ok.

On your first atempt to use the brush a box will appear with the following message "This type layer must be simplified before proceeding" click Ok.

Your copyright brush should now work.

Adjust size and colour to suit.

I resolved the issue by copying it from Word and creating a saved text layer with varios suffixes which I can just drop into the image and then place with the move tool. Maybe a bit crude but it works though perhaps there is an easier way to do this with an action - another rainy day activity to research!

Jon Don't know if this has been mentioned further but I didn't want to forget to go back and answer. Nearly all laptops have a key which allows you to activate a number pad.

Rather than put the copyright notice on the image itself, using Adobe Bridge I prefer to embed it in the exif meta data. Bruce Frazer in his book Real World Camera Raw explains how, although you don't have to shoot in .raw - you can do it with .jpg files. Not sure how you edit the mata data if you don't have bridge though.
