Where does photography cease?

The only place photography ceases is at the edge of the photographers imagination and creativity.

The only reason I 'got into' photography was because I was pig sick of sourcing stock photo's for my art........... Photography has now become my main interest, but I still see art as art, no matter where it originated. As long as the artwork has a photographic base.... its photography.
It 'may' come into some sort of subclassification of that genre, but as the OP said 'Where do you draw the line'? Film choice? Aperture setting? Rearranging the pixels? Adding new elements? (thats been done ever since the first first film was developed)

I'll add to my last post - In my opinion, IF you make (photograph) the elements that make up a piece of digital art, even if you just made the major part of the work then it IS photography. If you don't .............. it isn't

I think if you take the photo and turn it into something creative then it has a place here.
I personally miss Al's digital art works.I used to look forward to getting on line to see what he had come up with......If you enjoy creating then you should keep at it.
