Hi

I use that lens and, as its not a particularly heavy lens, I have never felt the need for a separate tripod mount. When I've used a tripod, which is not often with the IS , I've just attached it straight to the camera bush

Hi clive
Many thanks for your quick response I have looked all over for one, but know luck, so I think I will do as you say and put it straight on the camera, I like using my monopod as it is not as heavy as a tripod,
Regards Will

Can you tell me what the diameter of the lens barrel is where the tripod mount will fit, I may have a mounting ring for sale if it's the right size.

Hi Nirofo
The diameter is 75mm but the place I think it would fit is only 10mm wide, so if this is any good let know,
Many Thanks Will

Hi Willba

Sorry I'm late in replying

The tripod mount is only 64mm internal diameter so would not fit. The width of the collar is 16.5mm, so once again will not fit.

nirofo.
