Default Poster size prints?

Is it possible to print an image in segments on several sheets of A4 paper that can be butt joined to create a poster size image.
I seem to recall this is possible, but do not know if it can be done using photoshop, or if it was achieved by another programme.

There is a piece of software called Rasterbator that will do this, but does add a "pop-art" dot

I always use Qimage for printing (excellent piece of software) and this will let you do it. Just enter the print size required and if it spans more than 1 page it will ask if you want it rescaled to a single page or printed over multiple pages. Could not be easier.
Here is the link to Qimage http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage/ think there is a 30day free trial.
