Default Hiya!

Hello all!

I'm new to the forum and to the dSLR world also!

I'll be getting myself a Canon 30D as soon as it's restocks at my shop, but not sure about lens set...
I wish to go only to EF like lens... no EF-S.

Right now i'm considering the 17-40L lens with a Sigma 50 2.8 for macro & low light situations.
I was going for the "usual" Canon 50mm f1.8 but i love macro shooting too!

Latter I'll be getting the tele-zoom... 70-200L or the 75-300 IS USM

Any thoughts btw?

Welcome to WPF, Ifaustino.

WPF is a great site to ask for views and opinions. Please feel free to post in the boards and add to our gallery. We also hold monthly photo competitions and this month its themed 'work' - further details can be found on the members notice board.

If the Canon 70-200IS is anything like Nikon 70-200VR you will be blown away by its performance and nothing else will compare.

Enjoy the site!

Hi Ifaustino,

Welcome to WPF. You'll probably get a better response to your question in the "Lenses" section of the forum so I'm moving your post to there.

Duncan.

Are you gong for the 70-200 f4L or the 70-200 f2.8L? They're both good but the f2,8 lens is in a class of it's own.

Rob.
