But how will that have an effect on the slide ? or is there some way of converting the image back to a slide afterwards ?

I still don't understand how this can be used...

I still don't understand how this can be used with slide film. surely it's better to compose the image in camera rather than on a PC screen as there willbe less cropping required and therefore less...

I'm shooting on film so I don't have an LCD...

I'm shooting on film so I don't have an LCD screen on my Camera to hold the grid against, how can I use it to imptove my composition skills ?
