Okay, car will be paid off in 2 more payments
*knocking on wood that nothing happens after that* so I am looking to add a bit more reach for my D50 than my present Sigma 80-300mm. Some suggestions in a not too expensive but quality lens?

A regular suggestion for good "bang for the buck" is the Sigma 135-400. If you can find the (now discontinued) non-DG version then there's a real bargain to be had, mine cost £199.

I guess I should have given a dollar range. I was thinking between 500 & 800. but if I can find the lens Duncan has suggested, that would be super.
Thanks guys.
