I have just started cropping/resizing pics at 1920 x 1080 pixels and saving as high quality jpegs for viewing on an 40" HD TV (via a USB socket on TV).Must say the results are superb. Anyone else tried this ?
One thing I have noticed is that any sharpening done via a smaller pc monitor will be overemphasized on the big screen, I now rarely sharpen at all for 40" display. Last edited by Roy C; 05-10-08 at 10:51. |

That reminds me why I need a new laptop.
Something that has HDMI port for watching HD pictures on big screen LCD.

How do you do this ? I have a HD 40" and have thought of it but never tried it? I thought I would have to put them on disc and view through the recorder but you seem to suggest a USB. Does that mean transferring images to the lap top (my computer is up stairs) and simply connect to TV? if so do I need some special lead? |

I guess other ways would be to connect a laptop via HDMI as sassan has suggested (but not all laptops have a HDMI port). I can also use the TV as a monitor via a VGA connection although I have yet to try it. You need to find out exactly what inputs there are on your TV . |

VGA to HDMI cable can be used, or a memory card / flash drive
