What is the best digital camera available for around $120? A friend of mine needs one for general use, probably something like 5 MP and 3x zoom would be good.
Any suggestions? |

This one
http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=C340-R&cat=CAM fits your specifications. I personally would go with a little higher budget and get Canon's S2 that has significant price drop due to S3 and newer ones. If you find one of those price should be in low US$ 200s but give an almost SLR capabilities in a point and shot format.

The Canon Powershot A430 ( http://www.adorama.com/ICAA430.html ) got the best review in PC Magazine's review of low-cost cameras. It is a little more than $120, but not by much.
