Internet Explorer 7 RC1

Hi

I have just gone back to FF from Opera, both of which are far better than IE

So now that I hit the wrong button and "upgraded from 6 to 7" can someone tell me how to get it to remember names and passwords. Pain having to log in each time.
Being normal and not liking change, I'm comming around to this--slowly.

Jim, I use Firefox but I think you need to go to Tools>Internet Options>Content>Autocomplete - Settings ?

Usually when you fire up IE it will ask you if you want to turn Autocomplete ON.

I would advise you install Firefox (free), its got a brilliant password manager built in.

I installed the final release of IE7 for a while, it's so buggy and wide open to attack that I soon got rid of it and went back to IE6. Another side effect was the slowing down of my computer, as soon as I got rid of it my computer speeded up again. I guess I'll wait for a good while to let all the unpaid Microsoft guinea pigs iron out the miriads of faults before I try it again!

I've installed IE7 on several other peoples computers by request, up to now all but one have asked for it to be removed.

I have use it for about two months now with no bother i realy like it i cant understand why some have problems with it i had it it as a trial,it must be some thing to do with differant peoples computers.

I have been using it for about 3 weeks and think its great. It seems a lot faster than IE6.

Good decision!

Microsoft software is a bit like cheese, it takes quite a while to mature to the state where it's ready for human consumption.
