Thanks Super Moderator for your tip. This option I tried even before write here. Did not work because ( I think) TWAIN is not supported any more in Windows.

Susan,
I had very similar problems with my Canon scanner (8400F). I found that I had to completely remove device from Windows - WIA had found the scanner and then tried to use it without success - then, I had to install the latest driver/application from Canon before I plugged the scanner in. Then, when I plugged the scanner in, I had to tell Windows to use the TWAIN driver, not WIA. The important point is that once WIA had found the device it refused to use the TWAIN driver. You have to remove the WIA device and install the TWAIN driver before you plug the scanner in. |
