hello im looking to buy the canon Mt 24-Ex and was just wondering does anyone know if canon are planning to bring out a new updated version of the flash?

This flash was released in 2004, I bought one in 2005.

It's certainly a serious bit of kit, as it's only E-TTL it really should be in line for a small update to E-TTL 11.

However it works flawlessly with the Canon 7D and 5D.

It would be nice if they made the heads wireless, so as to get rid of the curly cables. However I've seen no mention of an updated version.

Not wishing to upset you, but I paid £340 for MT-24-EX
