Hey guys.
I have a Nikon D5000, and I love it. But I want to be able to do something on it, that I'm not sure how to do. It kinda takes a while to focus, is there any way I could put it into a point'n'shoot mode for when Im not taking artsy photos? Because it takes at least 5 seconds to focus. Any way to change this to minimize time between button press and shoot? Thanks. -DreadAlert- |

Unless you're trying to use it in low light conditions the focus should be much quicker than that. Sounds to me as if the camera is faulty.

I have to agree, there is no way any DSLR or digital compact for that matter should take anything like that long. You need to get it checked out, I would contact Nikon if it was me or if it is not under warranty then a reputable repair firm.
