My choice this week is; Sika Deer by Paul Langford.

![]() Two other shots appeared in my short list; The Valley Walker's Dunraven Delight and Jack9019's San Diego from Shelter Island. All terrific shots, but I opted for Sika Deer. For me it has the magical moment in wildlife shots, where the subject has the stance, the eye contact and of course I high cuteness factor. The EXIF is absent, but it is clearly a distance shot and the flecks (probably insects or dust) only add to the atmosphere. Also the bokeh is very well formed and makes the perfect backdrop. So... well done Paul.

For the last few months, we have been following a suggestion made by Clive (Gidders). The aim was to have a few volunteers who would take it in turns to choose a picture and post it.

There are five on the rota, more would (I think) be welcome and so one week in five we are responsible for a personal choice.

Oh ok, that sounds like a good idea, I know there was a big discussion about the best way to go with it. I just didn't know what the outcome was.
