My choice for Picture of the Week 7th September is Wednesday Workout by Tom Charles.
![]() With some exceptional images getting an airing this week, any one of which would be worthy nominations, it is difficult to select just one. For me, this one has a 'wow' factor. It certainly has all the technical perfection of sharpness and detail, but the background and the overall presentation tending to high-key set it apart from the pack. The subject matter helps of course catching an unusual and specific 'moment'. I had a shortlist of four, two of which were from Robski; his Gold, a gloriously detailed goldfinch and also Hawker, a migrant hawker dragonfly captured in flight. Then Nigel G's Kimmeridge Bay a beautifully presented long exposure seascape. So congratulations to those members also.
