Shutter Sound

I have a Canon Rebel XT and when I was at a wedding recently I snapped a few shots during the ceremony. My shutter made a beeping noise every time I took a picture. Is there any way to turn this beep off?

Are you talking of Focus confirmation beep?

Nope, I've turned the focus beep off.
