Hi
thinking of changing my camera bag from a shoulder model to the Slingshot style I have in mind the Lowepro 200AW The gear I will be carrying 5D 100-400L 17-40L (attached to camera) Tamron 90 Macro Anyone have this bag? Travelling to Peurto Pollensa in May, is it ok for hand luggage? Thanks in advance for any advice ![]()

I cannot help with slingshot bags but the Lowpro microtrekker 200 rucksack will safely house the above lenses and comply with the new hand luggage regulations of most airports.
Be careful that the weight of above kit doesn't exceed your airlines weight restriction for hand luggage.

I actually bought a slingshot 100 for my 20D + 17-85 attached, 70-300 with future acquisition of sigma 105 macro planned. I took it back and changed it 2 days later. It held all the equipment fine - the problem was that the zip for the opening flap is not near enough to the edge of the bag. This means that, when you swip the bag round to get the camera out, the camera grip is under the side of the bag and it makes it very difficult. slingshop.jpg Not sure if this would be a problem with the bigger 200 but my advice would be to take all you equipment to a stockist and see how you get on |

Just an update,
purchased the Slingshot 200 last week, but found it too small to utilise the gear I wanted to carry. Have now ordered the Mini Trekker AW Thanks for the input ![]()

Thanks for letting us know Paul - When I was considering the Slingshot 200 it did strike me as being on the small side. Let us know how you get on with the mini trekker. When I go away on business trips I like to travel light and room for a camera for the tourist snaps.

There is now a slingshot 300 out perhaps this would be better. I have a 20D and similar lenses and am considering one. Pete

had the Mini Trekker for a week now and used it for the first time on a trip to Holy Island. Plenty of room for all my gear and I found it very comfortable, the all weather protector was handy when it started raining! Can highly recommend ![]() Regards PaulV
